The Scott Newman Center was founded by actor Paul Newman to honor his son, who died of a drug overdose in 1978. The focus of the center is the Rowdy Ridge Gang Camp, which treats mothers and children whose lives are troubled by drug abuse and domestic violence to a safe, fun-filled weekend in the wilderness.
